First Street in downtown Langley is lined with juried artisans booths during the Choochokam Arts weekend.
July 9-10, 2011 are the dates for the 36th annual Choochokam Arts festival in downtown Langley.
Come enjoy the community celebration of Whidbey Island's rich arts heritage. The picturesque streets of downtown Langley are lined with 90 premier artists. The air is filled with the sounds from four separate stages, each with its own flavor.
• Meet and converse with Puget Sound artists who work in all mediums. Purchase art directly from its creator.
• Listen and dance to the music of some of the hottest up-and-coming new performers in the region.
• Join us in celebration at our Saturday night Street Dance, a community tradition for decades.
• Bring your children to our Family Area for workshops and performances; a great place to immerse future artists in hands-on projects.

In 2010, the nonprofit organization, Choochokam Arts, officially partnered with the Langley Chamber of Commerce. The original mission was to create an organization that reflects the richness of Langley's artistic community and encourages participation in this local celebration. The Chamber has embraced this mission, and through the Experience Langley focus on Arts, Culture and Education, the City of Langley and Chamber will continue the stewardship of this amazing community event.
